Times Square, New York City Taxis honking, tourists jostling, traffic in motion and a neon light explosion: Times Square can put you in sensory overload! Add in a steady down pour, and you have the perfect mix for an evening of photography. Joe wasn't quite so sure about this...seeing as he was holding the umbrella over my camera, and getting quite wet in the process! We came to experiment with long exposures while simultaneously changing the focal length of my zoom lens. The resulting blur is a great way to give a sense of movement to the rushing traffic. Soon, however, we both became mesmerized with the ever-changing color show under our feet. The giant neon signs reflected in the wet pavement combined with silhouettes of umbrella toting tourists made for some great compositions. Can you see that the pedestrians are upright but the world is not?
